I specialize in developing innovative, evidence-based approaches to restoring metabolic health through movement, breath, and rhythm. My system blends Qigong, Taiji, dance, and martial arts into a science-driven framework that rebuilds strength, balance, and structural integrity from the inside out.
My journey into wellness began with Massage Therapy, where I first learned how the body heals through touch, intention, and mindful awareness. While serving in the United States Navy, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Exercise Science and continued deepening my understanding of human movement. I went on to complete my Master’s in Health and Exercise Science, and I am now preparing to pursue a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology and Nutritional Science.
My education, however, is only half the story. My lived experience has shaped my philosophy just as much as my academic training. I was diagnosed with LADA—late-onset type 1 diabetes—at 43, a diagnosis that forced me to confront years of fluctuating weight, inconsistent habits, and the downstream effects of poor dietary patterns. Managing a complex metabolic condition reshaped not only my health, but the way I understand behavior, resilience, and long-term change.
My graduate research focused on integrating Qigong-inspired movement with a whole-food ketogenic lifestyle to help individuals with chronic conditions restore balance, circulation, and metabolic function. This work evolved into Total Body Tuning—a fascia-focused system that trains muscle-tendon synergy to rebuild physical, neurological, and metabolic harmony.
The lessons learned along the way—discipline, clarity, consistency, and the daily practice of self-regulation—inform everything I teach. I don’t approach this field as a job or even a career. It is a calling. The methods I share are the same methods that help me maintain a higher quality of life, and my mission is to help each client cultivate the strength, resilience, and self-directed health needed to live better for longer.

Philosophy & Approach
Movement as Medicine
Total Body Tuning is built on the simple truth that muscles create power, but tendons transmit it. Real strength comes from developing both the muscles and the fascia. Through rhythm, contralateral balance, and intentional sequencing, this practice restores the body’s tensegrity: the natural balance of tension and compression that lets you move with efficiency, elasticity, and precise control.
The Nervous System Connection
Every movement signals the nervous system. Through deliberate tempo and rhythmic flow, Total Body Tuning guides the body from chronic fight-or-flight activation into a rest-and-refresh state. In this calmer state, learning accelerates, circulation improves, and the body accesses its natural ability to burn fat for fuel and regenerate tissues.
Evidence-Based Practice
Grounded in clinical and exercise physiology research, my methods integrate:
Functional strength and tendon conditioning
Metabolic optimization through whole-food nutrition
Mind-body coordination and balance restoration
Cognitive performance enhancement

How it Helps
Total Body Tuning
Total Body Tuning is a fascia-informed conditioning system that restores strength, balance, coordination, and circulatory health through slow, intentional, low-impact movement. It trains the myofascial tensegrity system to share tension evenly, allowing muscles and tendons to work together so the body can generate and transmit force with ease, stability, and confidence.
Strength & Conditioning
TBT develops strength from the inside out by training both muscle tissue and the connective tissue that supports it. Each session uses deliberate, stabilizing movements that align collagen fibers through mechanotransduction, improving tendon integrity and restoring balanced tension across joints. This builds functional strength, improves posture, and increases resilience without the wear-and-tear associated with traditional hypertrophy-focused training.
Balance & Coordination
By using contralateral patterns, cross-body sequencing, and slow changes of direction, TBT sharpens proprioception and interoceptive clarity. These movements teach the nervous system to sense pressure, tension, and orientation more accurately, improving balance, reaction timing, and whole-body coordination. This makes TBT especially effective for fall-prevention and for anyone whose movement has been limited by pain, fear, or instability.
Low-Impact Cardiovascular Training
The rhythmic, continuous flow of TBT creates natural Zone 2 cardiovascular training without strain. Slow diaphragmatic breathing improves circulation, venous return, and oxygen exchange while preventing the CO₂ buildup that contributes to anxiety and sympathetic overactivation. This combination builds endurance, improves metabolic flexibility, and strengthens the cardiovascular system while keeping the nervous system calm and steady.
Adaptable for Every Level
Every TBT sequence can be progressed or regressed to match any level of conditioning. Sessions can be performed seated, supported, or fully upright, making the method accessible for beginners, older adults, or individuals in rehabilitation. The structure also translates cleanly to telehealth, allowing for safe and effective instruction in both clinical and home settings.
Chronic Health Support
Because TBT improves circulation, respiratory mechanics, nervous-system regulation, and balanced structural tension, it supports the management and prevention of many chronic conditions, including:
Metabolic disorders
Insulin resistance & Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
Obesity & metabolic syndrome
Hypertension & dyslipidemia
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
Depression & anxiety-based disorders
Mild cognitive impairment
Alzheimer’s disease & vascular dementia
Mindful movement paired with precise metabolic support builds an internal environment favorable to healing, cognitive clarity, and long-term resilience. TBT is designed to complement — not replace — medical care, offering a practical daily system for restoring function, circulation, and whole-body coherence.
